In addition to the weekly fact-checking and frenzied copyediting inherent in any newsroom, Saundra takes on long-term editing projects, from the brainstorming phase to creative direction to final proofreading.

Finder

Finder Guide to Portland

As editor of Willamette Week‘s only annual magazine, Saundra wrangled contributions from more than two dozen talented freelancers and collaborated with a top-notch design and production team to maintain the guide’s witty, informative tone — and add some new information to the mix. Their inspiration was a little bit Rick Steves, a little bit rock & roll, and the result was a comprehensive Portland primer that touches on culture, history, and lifestyle: a traveler’s wry but loving guide to a city on the rise. Saundra ultimately brought the project in on-time and under budget.
